904L Super Austenitic Steel Tube
Material summary and usage
904L steel is high nickel and molybdenum austenitic stainless acid resistant steel. As it contains high contents of chrome, molybdenum and copper, it has excellent activation and passivation ability, with low corrosion rate in the passivation area (because of high chrome). Meanwhile, it has good pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion resistant performance (because of high chrome and molybdenum) and good stress corrosion resistant performance (because of high nickel). It has good corrosion resistant in non-oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid, formic acid and phosphoric, and has good pitting corrosion resistance in neutral solution containing chlorides.

Application fields
It can be used in such media as butyl acetate, methyl acetate, terephthalic acid and PVC in petrochemical industry, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid inorganic chemical industry. It can also be used to manufacture various calcining furnaces and power plant flue gas scrubbers for environmental protection and coolers for seawater, semi-salt water and polluted water.
