On the afternoon of December 19th, the 2024 inaugural annual meeting of the Association of Material and Equipment Committee was grandly held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This first annual meeting attracted over 70 association members from material and equipment units across the country, as well as related industry experts and scholars. They gathered to discuss new technologies, products, and opportunities for development in the steel pipe industry, laying a foundation for further high-quality development of the industry.
Association President Shen Genrong, Party Branch Secretary Gong Hongliang, Vice President and Director of Material and Equipment Committee Lin Guanghui, along with Vice Presidents Gu Xiang, Du Mingli, and Cheng Tiandong participated in the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the association's Deputy Secretary-General, Lu Zhikui.
During the opening ceremony, President Shen Genrong delivered an enthusiastic speech. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the digitalization, intelligence, greening, high-end, and international levels of steel pipe material and equipment units under the new development pattern of dual circulation domestically and internationally. He pointed out that the purpose of this annual meeting is to strengthen the interconnectivity of the steel pipe industry chain and promote cooperation and exchanges between units to face new challenges in industry development.
Vice President and Material and Equipment Committee Director Lin Guanghui presented a three-year summary report of the committee titled “Promoting Technological Innovation to Assist High-Quality Development of the Steel Pipe Industry.” He reviewed the achievements made over the past three years in advancing equipment technology, integrating resources, and serving member units in the steel pipe industry. He stated that future efforts will continue to focus on providing services and promoting technological progress and application in steel pipe industry equipment to contribute to the industry’s sustainable development.
Subsequently, several industry experts delivered impressive reports covering various areas such as seamless steel pipes, digital transformation, and green energy-saving. Zheng Jianguo, Deputy General Manager of Taiyuan Qinghong Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., provided an in-depth analysis of "Seamless Steel Pipe Equipment Technology Renovation Discussion," sharing the company’s practical experience in intelligent equipment applications, offering valuable references for attendees. Du Kailiang, Marketing Director of Shanghai Anqingchang Abrasives Co., Ltd., shared insights on “The Tool for Improving Steel Pipe Surface Quality,” presenting successful cases of technological innovation in grinding products and demonstrating the importance of such technologies in enhancing product competitiveness.
Lu Kaiwen, Deputy General Manager of Jinyi Machinery Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., focused on “Digital Intelligent Manufacturing Starts Here for Steel Pipe Enterprises,” elaborating on the pivotal role of digital transformation in enhancing production efficiency and reducing operational costs, providing practical and forward-looking insights for participating units. Zou Yujing, Chairman of Wuhan Yucheng Laser Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd., explained the "Industrial Application of Laser-Arc Hybrid Welding for Stainless Steel Composite Plates," sharing the latest technological progress in new material welding. Additionally, Jin Feng, responsible for steel pipe type testing at the Machinery Industry Shanghai Lanya Petrochemical Equipment Testing Institute Co., Ltd., showcased research results on “Performance Testing and Discussion of Pressure Pipeline Components,” stressing the importance of testing standards.
Notably, Lin Guanghui, General Manager of Wuhan Zhongke Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., shared the theme of "Making Testing Simpler, Making the World Safer," highlighting the crucial role of technological innovation in ensuring product quality and safety. Liang Jing, Director of the Energy Storage Division at Jiangsu Meike Energy Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the strategy "Green Energy Saving for Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement," exploring how green technology can enhance the overall benefits of enterprises. Finally, Huang Ting, Regional Director of Wuhan GuoMaoton Big Data Co., Ltd., emphasized “Trade Data Empowerment: Driving a New Engine for Foreign Trade Growth,” pointing out the direction for the development of participating units in the foreign trade field.
The successful convening of this annual meeting provided association member units with high-quality innovative technologies, equipment, and services, fully embodying the association’s leading role in promoting the high-quality development of the steel pipe industry. The association looks forward to continued collaboration towards the forward movement of the industry, achieving mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
