First President's Office Meeting of the Association in 2025 Held at Changfeng Steel Pipe, Changshu

Striving Forward Together for a Shared Future
On January 5, the Association's first President's Office meeting of 2025 was grandly held at the co-hosting unit, Changshu Changfeng Steel Pipe Company. The meeting was attended by 12 participants including Association President Shen Genrong, Party Branch Secretary Gong Hongliang, Executive Vice President Li Sheng, Co-Chairman Chen Guoqiang, Vice Presidents Chen Junde, He Jianzhong, Cheng Tiandong, Zhang Jian, Zhang Yi, and Cai Liming, along with other representatives. The meeting was also attended by the Association's Supervisor Chairman Cao Xiangjun, Secretary General Wei Liqun, and Director of the Expert Committee Sun Yongxi, among other department heads from the secretariat. President Shen Genrong presided over the meeting.
Chairman of Changshu Changfeng Steel Pipe Company and Co-Chairman of the Association, Chen Guoqiang, welcomed attendees on behalf of the hosts. He expressed sincere gratitude and warm welcome from the company's staff to the participating leaders and secretariat members. He introduced the 50-year journey of Changshu Seamless Steel Pipe Company, emphasizing its commitment to its original aspirations, a product positioning of "thin, small, precise, detailed, and long," and a production philosophy of "meticulous craftsmanship," which has fostered a blue ocean of small-diameter precision seamless steel pipes, garnering unanimous praise and resonance from the attending leaders. Chairman Chen also cordially invited the attending leaders to participate in the company's 50th anniversary celebration.
President Shen Genrong expressed gratitude to Chairman Chen for the meticulous preparation for the meeting and extended warm congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Changfeng Steel Pipe. He heartfeltly wished that under Chairman Guoqiang's leadership, Changfeng Steel Pipe would achieve new glory in China's modernization efforts and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The meeting included presentations on the “2024 Work Summary and 2025 Key Work of the Association Office” by Secretary General Wei Liqun, along with updates on the “2025 Third China Steel Pipe Industry Innovation Development Conference and Third 'Steel Pipe Craftsman' Award Ceremony” preparations, as well as the main agenda for the Association's 7th Second Member Conference and the 7th Third Council Meeting in March 2025. There was also a report by Expert Committee Director Sun Yongxi on the "Steel Pipe Conference and the Third 'Steel Pipe Craftsman' Selection Process" and a proposal report regarding the appointment of Lu Jiangfan as Honorary Director of the Expert Committee.
The attending presidents affirmed the achievements of the Association Office over the past year and proposed work suggestions on how the Association could further promote collaborative development within the steel pipe industry's upstream and downstream chains and deepen cooperative development among member units. Constructive opinions were put forth for the successful organization of the “2025 Third China Steel Pipe Industry Innovation Development Conference and Third 'Steel Pipe Craftsman' Award Ceremony.” Furthermore, the leaders engaged in fervent discussions on the development and positioning of the steel pipe industry and market in 2025, looking forward to overcoming temporary difficulties through collaborative efforts among member units.
During the meeting, Supervisor Chairman Cao Xiangjun shared the work of the Supervisory Board over the past year and committed to continuing diligent duties to safeguard the stable development of the Association.
Finally, Party Branch Secretary Gong Hongliang delivered a concluding speech, recognizing the exceptional and effective work of the Association Office throughout the year. He combined the China Iron and Steel Association's strategic thoughts on “New Cycle, New Opportunities, New Breakthroughs” for 2025, providing constructive opinions and suggestions for the Association and its member units, thus setting a direction for the Association Office's work in 2025.
The successful convening of this meeting deepened mutual communication and consensus among the presidents of the Association units and further enhanced the exchange between the presidents and the Association Secretariat, laying a solid foundation for the sustainable and high-quality development of the Association and its member units in 2025!
